Abstract
The PPerfDB project at PSU is studying the challenges of automatically diagnosing parallel applications, from the perspective of the experiment management paradigm. Our research focuses on the problems associated with gathering, storing, and using performance data with the goal of achieving completely automated diagnosis of application and system bottlenecks. Our current focus is on accommodating heterogeneous performance data from a variety of tools, applications, and platforms. In this talk I will describe the problem and our proposed solutions in more detail.
