Abstract
Santiago Pérez's research and teaching attempts to develop a dialog between "the physicality of making, and the fluidity of digital representation & fabrication." He studies how form inspired by mathematical and biological principles could generate novel assemblies combining the natural and the artificial.
Biography
Pérez is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Houston's Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture. He has published and lectured widely on the influence of craft, biology, robotics & emergent form on design and architecture.
