Overview of UO Technology Entrepreneurship Program (TEP)

Abstract

TEP is a cross disciplinary program designed to introduce graduate students from Business, Law, and the Sciences to business model development, opportunity recognition, and venture development. Students are assigned to teams of 3-5 students, each team assigned to investigate the commercialization potential of a technology. Students receive formal seminar instruction in Business Models, Intellectual Property, Venture Funding, and Market Research.

Biography

Nathan Lillegard is the Program Manager in the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship, one of the Centers of Excellence in the Lundquist College of Business. Nathan’s experience includes co-founding Floragenex, a genomics research company spun-out of the University of Oregon, startup community building, and mentoring for many different types of ventures. Nathan coordinates the efforts of the UO Foundation Seed Fund and is active with the Eugene RAIN program.
