Contest and meeting sites
The Friday night pizza party will be held in Deschutes Hall, home of the CIS Department on the UO campus. Deschutes Hall is the second building in at the southwest corner of Franklin Boulevard and Agate Street. Construction of a new science building is underway north of Deschutes, so Deschutes must be approached on the south side from 13th Avenue.
On Saturday morning, registration for coaches and contestants will be in the hallway on the ground floor of McKenzie Hall. Bagels, coffee and juice will be provided. (Note that a continental breakfast at the Phoenix Inn is provided to guests staying there.) McKenzie Hall is a short walk east and south from the Phoenix Inn. Orientation will be at 9AM in room 129 on the ground floor of McKenzie. This will be followed by a practice session in the McKenzie Computer Lab (also on the ground floor of McKenzie). After a de-briefing in room 129, the contest itself will be held in the McKenzie Computer Lab. The McKenzie Computer Lab and administration of the contest software is being provided by the UO Information Services Department.
See this interactive campus map to locate Deschutes and McKenzie.
On Friday evening, you may park near Deschutes on 13th Avenue in spaces marked as reserved from 7am-6pm M-F, or otherwise not marked as reserved at all times. There are also a number of spaces on 13th between Deschutes and the EMU that are marked as car pool only - you may park in these spaces after 6PM Friday. On Saturday you can park in the lot north of McKenzie across 11th Avenue. This is a UO lot for faculty and staff, but does not require a permit on Saturdays. (However, you cannot park in any space that is signed "Reserved at all times".)
