Visiting the Department
If you will be in Eugene and would like to stop by the department, please contact us, outreach@cs.uoregon.edu, and we will be glad to arrange time with available faculty, and will be able to point out any special events or talks that may be occurring during your visit. Of course, unplanned visits are also appreciated.

Research Results
If you are involved in research, we are always looking for dynamic speakers to give colloquia. Previous topics have ranged from social issues of computing to complex algorithms. If you are interested in giving a talk, contact Dejing Dou dou@cs.uoregon.edu, 541-346-4572.

Mentoring Opportunities
Internships
The department offers opportunities to obtain high quality student interns. During the academic year, the department maintains a mailing list of students who have expressed an interest in internships. If you have an opening at your company, please contact Cheri Smith, cheri@cs.uoregon.edu, 541-346-1376 with the following information: job responsibilities, minimum requirements, and dates and duration.
Summer Internships
Each year, the department coordinates a Summer Internship Program which offers high quality, pre-screened applicants. The CIS staff provide a list of qualified students, based on the criteria you supply. You make the final decision according to your company policy. Special Events

Meeting of the Order of the Emerald Abacus
