Pro Tem Research Assistant/Pro Tem Research Associate

The Computer and Information Science Department at the University of Oregon occasionally hires research assistants/research associates to assist with grant-supported research. Positions are temporary or part-time associates for one term (ten weeks) or multiple-terms, not to exceed one-year, with the possibility of renewal for up to a total of three years, at the discretion of the hiring authority and taking into consideration need, funding and/or performance. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years, based on programmatic need, funding and performance. Successful Research Assistant applicants must have a B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field and will be conducting research under the direction of a faculty member for the purpose of acquiring research training. Successful Research Associate applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field and will receive only general guidance while conducting research.
We invite applications to be considered on a continuous basis and the pool will remain active through the 2016-17 academic year. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled. Hires from this pool may be subject to a background check.
