The UO Computer Science Department announces our annual summer internship program, operated in partnership with local and regional companies and the Software Association of Oregon. An internship is a pre-professional learning experience through participation in an on-site industry project. Students can enhance their professional skills and explore careers in the field under the guidance of an industry mentor and an academic mentor. Students gain valuable professional work experience, earn a salary, and may earn CIS credit towards the major. The program is for current UO CIS majors.
In addition to the Summer Internship Program, students may work part time in internship positions during the academic year, and can earn some CIS credit towards the major. To facilitate connecting students and internship positions, the department maintains a list of internships. Students may subscribe to this mailing list, and employers may submit position descriptions.
