Dinosaur Research Featured at the American Museum of Natural History and in Newsweek

Kent Stevens

CIS Professor Kent Stevens has been working for over a decade on digitally modeling the movement of dinosaurs in research known as the DinoMorph (TM) Project. Kent's work is on display at the American Museum of Natural History exhibit, Dinosaurs - Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries, running May 14, 2005-January 8, 2006. Kent's Dinomorph research was also highlighted in the cover story of the June 27 issue of Newsweek Magazine.

The DinoMorph (TM) Project has received widespread international coverage, including on the Discovery Channel, the BBC, NPR and Oregon Public Broadcasting. Kent is currently working with the BBC on a television production - "The Truth about Killer Dinosaurs," which will be broadcast later this year. The current issue of GEOTIMES offers a look at Kent's work, Bringing Dinosaurs to Life, and Kent's research is also featured in the current issue of BBC Focus.
