Against All Odds - CIS undergraduate excels
With his checkered background and poor secondary school performance, not even his family thought Junjie "Kevin" Xu would ever amount to much. Today he's on the Dean's List at the UO. Credit supportive grandparents, his own perseverance, and a series of lucky breaks—not the least of which was winning a generous scholarship to the UO funded by a fellow Singaporean passionate about giving other Southeast Asian students the kind of educational opportunity he had.
