CIS PhD Alumnus Paea LePendu Featured for Research on Heart Attacks
The New York Times and NPR featured a story in June 2015 on a study linking heartburn medicine to heart attacks. The story is based on a journal paper co-authored by Paea LePendu, who finished his PhD at UO with CIS Associate Professor Dejing Dou in 2010.
His research report, Proton Pump Inhibitor Usage and the Risk of Myocardial Infarction in the General Population, was published in the Open Access journal, PLOS ONE.
