Course Description

This is a beginning course in operating systems that will help you to understand the fundamental principles guiding operating system design. The course will discuss primarily software, assuming that you are familiar with the hardware issues covered in CIS 314. You should be confident of your programming skills before entering this course, particularly with the data structures used in CIS 313 and 323.
