Goals: This course is intended:
- to be taken by all new CIS GTFs
- to provide an array of strategies to use during
your GTF and teaching experience while you are at UO and after you
leave
- to encourage you to become more aware of how you
teach and how to teach more effectively
- to provide a forum in which you can share teaching
problems and ideas with other GTFs
Readings: online and handouts
Grading:
This class may be taken Pass/No pass only. A passing grade will be given
for:
- regular attendance at and thoughtful participation
in weekly class meetings
- completion (and handing in) of the
weekly questions (see"Questions to Answer" column in schedule)
- completion of a teaching project
- Missing more than three class meetings for any reason
will automatically result in a No Pass grade
