Submission

All submitted papers must conform to the style guidelines required for IEEE Conference Proceedings. These guidelines are discussed (and templates are provided for them) in the following documents:

  • Formatting Instructions
    8.5" x 11", Two-Column Format (PDF, PS, DOC, LaTeX)

  • 8.5" x 11", Two-Column Format Layout Guide (PDF, PS, DOC)
    Clarification: cross-column figures are allowed.
This is the official IEEE instructions and copyright form as of December 17th, 2008: IEEE Copyright Form.

The page limit for ICSE09 Research track and Software Engineering in Practice track papers will be 11 (eleven) pages. This is different from the 10 page limit of past ICSEs. The increase of 1 page is to more closely align the content that fits into an IEEE formatted paper (the paper format used by ICSE09) with the content that fits into an ACM formatted paper (the format used in some years). This decision is made by the ICSE09 chairs and implies nothing about the page limits imposed in future ICSEs.

You may use any document preparation tools that you wish, but please ensure that your contribution is formatted in conformance with the guidelines provided above, and that page format is set to be US Letter. Also, be sure that your papers do not exceed the page limit specified for your type of contribution, as listed in the "How to Submit" page for that type of contribution.
