The programming group met in January and is working through the OGRE tutorial system. The next meeting will be February 24 in the Deschutes Hall Colloqium Room (second floor). Before the meeting, students are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the Ogre game engine. Students interested in graphic design and music should do enough work to convince themselves that they can plug their work into the OGRE framework.

| Description | This class introduces the theory and science behind computer game programming. We take a computer science perspective on game programming and try to answer some of the fundamental challenges that computer games present. In particular, we touch on several areas of computer science necessary to game programming such as software methodology, computer graphics, human/computer interaction, networking, and artificial intelligence. This course is a project-based class: students will be required to work on programming projects throughout the course culminating in a working 3D computer game. Knowledge of C++ is required for the course. |
