WICS is a group within the University of Oregon Computer and Information Science department whose purpose is to ensure the continued involvement of women in Computer Science by encouraging discussion and raising awareness of the issues they face.

WICS goals are to:

• Increase awareness of women in Computer Science.
• Provide a strong network for women in Computer Science.
• Dispel the biases and myths faced by women in Computing Science.
• Create an academic and social climate which is conducive to both men and women in Computer Science.
