What is WICS?

WICS, Women in Computer Science, is a group within the University of Oregon Computer and Information Science department whose purpose is to ensure the continued involvement of women in Computer Science by encouraging discussion and raising awareness of the issues they face. In the past, WICS has provided a lecture series featuring women in Computer Science, tutoring for the introductory core courses, a mentor program providing a social network, a monthly lunch series to build on those social networks, and educational/career workshops.

Want to get involved? Have any suggestions for activities? E-mail the WICS GTF, Suzanne Millstein.
