NOTE ABOUT THE WEBSITE EyeMusic 1.1 DOWNLOADS FOLDER: small versions of the QuickTime movies for use with the Max patches are provided above. You can also download larger versions of the movies from the large_sz_movies folder.

EyeMusic is a program that runs on the Macintosh using Max/MSP to make music from eye movements.

Important news about this release:
eyeData2 has been updated so that it now has five outlets.  From left to right, these include: line number, eyefound flag, pupil diameter, x coordinate, and y coordinate.  Note that the x and y now go from left to right.  Patches written for the previous version of eyeData2 will not run with the new version without adjusting the relationship of other objects' inlets to eyeData2's outlets.  Users who do not wish to update pre-existing patches using eyeData2 are advised to archive the old version of eyeData2 and reinstall it prior to opening the older patches.

eyedata2 - An updated version of the eyedata2 external with 5 outlets.  The external brings eye tracking data into Max/MSP.

eyedata2.help - A help file.  Place in the Max/help folder; to use help files in Max, select the object in edit mode and select help in the Max menu.

EyeMusic 1.1 Demo Patch - A patch demonstrating the use of the eyedata2 external.

fixation - NEW!!! An external which detects fixations.

Fixation 1.1 Patch - THIS IS THE NEW STUFF!!! Max/MSP patch which demonstrates the use of the "fixation" and "eyedata2" externals.

fixation.help - A help file.  Place in the Max/help folder; to use help files in Max, select the object in edit mode and select help in the Max menu.

JeffReadingDemo.mov - A QuickTime video of an eyetracking session for use with the Fixation 1.1 patch.
