The Ecological Simulation Testbed (EST) is designed to evaluate discrete event simulation engines and ecological models on computing platform available at the University of Oregon.
The EST is in its infancy and at this point much of the discussion will have to focus on the current procedures or future plans. When any subject discussed in the tutorial is in a state of flux, the reader will be warned that procedures and perspectives are based on our current understanding of the problem.
