What is this?

This is documentation of a personal century ride for the UMCA Year-Rounder Challenge. The basic idea is to make at least one 100-mile ride in each month of 2007. It gets me out when it might otherwise be too easy to say “too bad the weather wasn't better this month.”

July 4, 2007

Route Overview

North through Coburg and Marcola, continuing Marcola road as it becomes Brush Creek Road, then West to Brownsville, back South on Gap Road, turning West on Diamond Hill Road to Harrisburg, then South on Hwy 99, Southeast on River Road at Junction City to Eugene. This was a little shorter than estimated (still at 85 miles as I reached Eugene), so cut West on the bike path, South over Greenhill, East back to Southwest Eugene, and pick up the last few miles going up Chambers, 28th, City View, and various small streets in the Southwest hills.

If I repeat this route, I'll probably add a jog from Junction City out past the Long Tom Grange and back along High Pass, and cut out some of the meandering at the end.
