Sixth Annual UO CIS Programming Contest

There were 14 undergraduate teams and 5 graduate teams in the competition. We begin with directions and a warm-up exercise.
Then the contest room empties out, as groups find places to think and discuss approaches.
Groups continue to confer as they write and test their code
Answers are submitted at the whiteboard.
The judges confer.
After three intense hours, undergraduate and graduate division champions are determined.

Undergraduate Division

First place:
Carl Howells and James Marr
Second place:
Alex Cordero, Dan Ellsworth, and Erin Keenan
Third place:

Graduate Division

First Place:
Tim Singer and Daniel Stuzbach
Second Place:
John Fiskio-Lasseter and Chris Gauthier-Dickey.

Paul Bloch also set up the environment and was there for troubleshooting during the contest.
