Abstract
This animated multimedia presentation covers the history and key issues in the US vs. Microsoft trial that is currently going on. The cornerstone of the US Dept. of Justice case is the theory of increasing returns, which claims that positive feedback mechanisms work in favor of monopolies. The talk concludes with a series of recommendations for settling the case as well as remedies for the entire industry.
