Abstract
This presentation and Q&A session will cover the milestones and checkpoints that each Ph.D. student will encounter on the path to the doctoral degree. Prof. Ginnie Lo, head of the Graduate Education Committee, will describe the goals and scope of each milestone (DRP, Oral Comp, dissertation proposal, and dissertation defense); the newly published schedule for completing these milestones; and provide samples of each from previous students. She will also describe the annual Ph.D. review procedures, including the newly updated student report which is due in late February.
Students who have passed some of these milestones will hopefully share their experiences and pearls of wisdom with the newer students.
