Abstract
Isaac Babbs will cover what is happening in the mobile industry right now, a brief history, and where it is all headed from a Qualcomm perspective. Babbs will cover the device, network, and computional evolution of the industry. He will also cover what is possible today from an application perspective and what will be possible on the mobile device with applications around sensors. Babbs will cover what technologies are being used to created these great next generation applications and services and what types of carrer opportunities are available in this fast growing industry.
Babbs and Qualcomm recently donated 25 Android devices to the U of O Computer Science department that are being used in a class by Professor Stephen Fickas.
Biography
Isaac Babbs, Vice President, Global Market Development, Qualcomm, Inc.
Isaac Babbs is a long-time mobile, technology, media and entertainment executive with over 25 years of experience.
Babbs is currently Vice President of Global Market Development at Qualcomm. Babbs recently led Qualcomm Services Labs as VP/GM. Qualcomm Services Labs is an internal incubator for commercializing and launching mobileservices from within the Company.
Prior to Qualcomm, Babbs was founder, CEO, & chairman of Tapatap, Inc., a leading mobile social games company which he sold in March 2009.
