Abstract

LaTeX is a programming language to produces documents. Almost all mathematical and computer science journals require that you submit articles in the form of a LaTeX script. LaTeX allows you to define functions and macros or use libraries from various sources. We will go over the basic syntax of LaTeX, how to install and use the compiler, and where to find the copious libraries that exist. In particular, we will go over the math and diagram libraries and talk about choices in page geometry.
