Jun Li Promoted to Associate Professor

Jun Li

Congratulations to Jun Li for his promotion to Associate Professor with tenure in the department of Computer and Information Science, in recognition of his outstanding contributions in research, teaching, and service.

Prof. Li's research focuses on Internet security topics including worm detection, Internet routing forensics, protected client-to-client data sharing, and Internet source address validity enforcement. His research was recognized in 2007 by the prestigious NSF CAREER award, entitled "A Behavior-Based Framework for Detecting Internet Worms." He has also been the principal investigator on several research grants from NSF and Intel. His work has been published in leader journals and conferences in the field. Prof. Li is also recognized for his excellent teaching accomplishments. He developed and teaches a suite of courses on computer and Internet security. He established and directs the Network Security Research Laboratory, and mentors a research team of Ph.D, M.S., and undergraduate students.
