Assignment 2 - due Monday, February 1 (before class!)

Tasks you will need to do before starting:

• Read chapter 3 from Jeff&Jeff, up to but not including section 3.1.3.

Resources you will need:

• Access to LTSA. Use this site to download: ltsa.jar. This should give you a jar file that is double-clickable.

Problem 1

Do exercise 3.1 in back of chapter 3.

Turn-in: Turn in what ever evidence you need to make your case.

Problem 2

Do exercise 3.5 in back of chapter 3.

Turn-in: The FSP code. I will load and test your code.

Problem 3

Do exercise 3.6 in back of chapter 3.

Turn-in: The FSP code. I will load and test your code.

Problem 4

Go back to chapter 2. Do exercise 2.6 in back of chapter 2. I like this problem because it really highlights the notion of abstraction. You have to decide what level of detail to model. The alphabet given should give you the clues you need. Note that you can ignore the paragraph that starts "For each of the exercises 2.2 to 2.6 ...".
