CIS 422/522 Project 2

P2_spec.html, Version 1, October 26, 2010, A.Hornof

Deliverables

October 28, in class. Every student must present a 30-second idea for a project, including a short name for the project, a specific problem to be solved, a rough idea of the system architecture, and why it would be fun to work on this project. Every student should leave class on this day with a group and a project.

November 4. Initial ProjectPlan/SRS/SDS document is due at the start of class. Also, each group will take five minutes to present their project proposal. Bring a printout of the document to class with all sections integrated and stapled together. Also, one student from each group should email a single PDF (not multiple documents) to the professor with the subject line "Group <your group name> Initial Project Plan" before class starts. The last document sent by a group member will be the document that is graded.

December 1, at 10 PM (Week 10): Project is due, including all source code files, documentation, and the final ProjectPlan/SRS/SDS. Follow the submission instructions.

December 2, in class: Each group will present a 10-minute (including setup time) presentation demoing and presenting their project, and reflecting on the software-engineering lessons learned from the project.

Guidance

The same Project Guidance from Project 1 should be followed here.

Evaluation Criteria

The ProjectPlan/SRS/SDS and project will be evaluated based on the same Project Grading Criteria as in Project 1.
