• The EDG C++ and Mutek Fortran 90 Front Ends parse source code, creating intermediate language (IL) files
• The IL Analyzer processes an IL file, extracting the high-level interface and storing this information in a program database (PDB) file
• DUCTAPE provides an API that makes the contents of this PDB file accessible to applications, such as TAU and SILOON
