When you figure out your travel plans, please email Jim with the information about when you will be arriving in Eugene or Portland and by what means.

Checking In

  1. Come to the University of Oregon — see References below

  2. Check In to your room

Your first meal is dinner on June 19 with the cafeteria closing at 8pm. (Yes, I write dates in the confusing American way, so 6/19/22 or June 19, 2022 means 19. June 2022.) People generally arrive between noon and 3AM on June 19.

    • If you arrive between 4pm and 8pm on June 19

The instructions on the website above place you on 15th & Agate. Walk East along 15th Street, past the Knight Law Center on the corner, past the Museum of Natural and Cultural History on your right, to the Global Scholars Hall. Enter the front door, and the check-in desk is to the right.

    • If you arrive before 4pm on June 19

The instructions on the website above place you on 15th & Agate. Walk North along Agate Street to 13th Street. Turn left/West on 13th Street Continue West on 13th Street past Oregon Hall, the three-story brick building on your right, and the Student Health Center, the two-story building on your left, to Deschutes Hall, a three-story brick building on your right. The main door is on the West side, toward the Southwest corner. The building will be locked, but knock or call Jim at 971-533-7546. You will be able to leave your luggage at Deschutes while you get food, use the computer lounge, or generally wait with other OPLSS attendees.

    • If you arrive after 9pm on June 19

If you are arriving after hours, please email me in advance when you will be arriving on campus. If you will not have a working cell phone when you arrive on campus, let me know.

The instructions on the website above place you on 15th & Agate. Walk East along 15th Street, past the Knight Law Center on the corner, past the Museum of Natural and Cultural History on your right, to the Global Scholars Hall. Call 541-346-9114.

Checking Out

Your last meal is lunch, Sunday 7/3. When you leave, please place your keys and meal card back in the envelope you received upon check-in. Keep the University of Oregon lanyard. If you are calling a taxi, ask to be picked up at 15th & University Street. If they don't know where University Street is, tell them is near that creepy old cemetary on campus, and some Italian woman told you to stay away from the cemetary, because today is "La notte dei morti viventi." Since you don't know what that means, you will be waiting by the cemetary.
